The Verse

How many of you know the verse to God Bless America or even if there was a verse?
If not it is worth reading. It was written by Irving Berlin in 1938 and made popular by Kate Smith.

"While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. "

It then continues with the song we all love and sing; “God Bless America, land that I love”.

Too often we forget that we are in a “storm” and that the clouds are gathering across the sea. We live in the most beautiful and free country that ever existed and unless we stop and recognize that there are people out there that want to see us wiped off the map, those storm clouds will soon reach us. It behooves this administration to admit that those people are terrorists and they are out to get us. For some reason Obama refuses to say the word and the main stream media is leaving lip prints on his backside.

We must continue believing that God has blessed America or else we will lose it. Teddy Roosevelt said, “Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president or any other public official.”

God Bless you and God Bless America! Be a patriot!
