This is a book published during meat rationing time of WWII - 1942

Iíve that thereís more than routine,
In the planning of a meal.
I must provide a diet,
Which has zest and taste appeal.
Which is adequate in protein,
And in iron and phosphorus;
In calcium and vitaminsÖ
And in all thatís good for us.
Iíve learned in serving dishes,
To my family every day,
That meat provides the elements,
We need for work and play.
There are cuts for every purpose,
And they must be cooked just right,
To retain the varied nutrients,
And tempt the appetite.

Dang, I think Iíll go have a steak!!!
