365 Days of Reasons Why I Love You

I'm going to try something that will be hard to do, but I'm determined to try.

I'm going to try to write a reason for loving you every day for a year.

So here we go:

#1
This morning, Valentine's Day, I woke, showered, got ready for work.
You slept, because you worked last night.
I walked into the room kissed you goodbye and loved you for being
there on our 9th Valentine together.

I love you, Ginny.

Michael

#2

Today I'm cooking Nathan (son-in-law) his favorite meatballs for his birthday and
thinking how much I love you for marrying me and bringing a whole new family
into my life grandchildren and all.

#3

Ginny, I love you because you hate to shop.

#4

I love you, because even the little things in life make you happy like a new chair.

#5

I love you, because you are an awesome grandmother to our grandchildren.

#6

I love you because you are the best stepmother my children could ever hope for.

#7

I love you, because, on my way home from work today, I knew you would be in our apartment waiting to welcome me home with a hug and a kiss.

#8
Ginny, I love you, because you show so much love to me.

#9

Ginny, I love you because you are my best friend.

#10

Ginny, I love you because we can spend hours together and never speak a word; just being together is enough to make us happy.

#11

Ginny, I love you because you allow me to cook and don't make suggestions or complain
about the mess I make.

#12

Ginny, I love you because, after all you have been through in your life, you still
appreciate the little things and always manage to light a room with your smile
and laughter.

#13

Ginny, I love you because you fit in my arms perfectly

#14

Ginny, I love you for the warmth your body provides, as I hold you in your sleep.

#15

Ginny, I love you because we share chores to get things done faster. Last weekend you
did the groceries; I did the laundry. Marriage means teamwork.

#16

Ginny, I love you, because we do things together to be there for our grandchildren.
On the evening of February 25, 2013, we attended Josh's potato bake/band night. It's wonderful to watch them grow and learn. It's even better to experience it with you.

#17

Ginny, I love you, because you gladly join your daughter and granddaughter for an evening of Yo Gabba Gabba.

#18

Ginny, I love you, because you now look forward the next reason why I love you.

#19

Ginny, I love you because you can laugh at yourself. You're beautiful.

#20

Ginny, I love you because you enjoy the nature around you, just like I do.

#21

Ginny, I love you because you don't complain I spend too much time on the computer:
we both do! It's how we met. I'll never regret it either.

#22

Ginny, I love you because you are a fantastic cook.

#23

Ginny, I love you because you can always make me smile.

#24

Ginny, I love you because we share the same warped sense of humor. I doubt you
could live with me if you didn't.

#25

Ginny, I love you because you can walk through the door, smile at me and my
heart melts.

#26

Ginny, I love you because you tolerate my continuous stream of lame jokes.
Some fly, but most crash and burn.

#27

Ginny, I love you because you make me feel complete

#28

Ginny, I love you because you make me laugh.

#29

Ginny, I love you because you give the best hugs I have ever received.

#30

Ginny, I love you for giving yourself to me.

#31

Ginny, I love you because you think of me before yourself. I think of you before
myself as well. This is why our marriage works.

#32

Ginny, I love you for tolerating my many faults.

#33

Ginny, I love you because, when I mess up, whether it is while cooking or any other
thing, you don't get mad at me; you laugh.

#34

Ginny, I love you because you take care of me when I am sick. I'm bullheaded and
want to do things for myself, but you insist on taking care of me.

#35

Ginny, I love you because you trust me. Trust is critical for a marriage.

#36

Ginny, I love you because you look so peaceful when you sleep relaxed and content.

#37

Ginny, I love you because when we are apart, you tell me how much you miss me.

#38

Ginny, I love you because you tell me how lonely you are at home when
I am working and you are not. You look forward to me coming home.

#39

Ginny, I love you because we love to read our books while sitting silently together
enjoying each others company.

#40

Ginny, I love you because when you cook, you have no problem asking me to clean
up team work again.

#41

Ginny, I love you because you take care of our kitties when I forget to.

#42

Ginny, I love you because you make our home a place I love to come home to.

#43

Ginny, I love you because you make crafts to please my eye.

#44

Ginny, I love you because you allow me all the time I need to work on my writing.

#45

Ginny, I love you because you accept my friends as yours.

#46

Ginny, I love you because we can take long trips in the car and not argue. It's our time
to be together and enjoy new adventures.

#47

Ginny, I love you because you support me in my dreams.

#48

Ginny, I love you because you get just as excited about a meal at Red Lobster as I do.

#49
Ginny, I love you because you appreciate the little things I do around the house.

#50

Ginny, I love you because you don't nag me; you make strong suggestions.

#51

Ginny, I love you because you are not afraid of hard work.

#52

Ginny, I love you because you think of others before yourself.

#53

Ginny, I love you because you are a gift from God to me.

#54

Ginny, I love you because you rescued me from the dark days of grief.

#55

Ginny, I love you because you are not perfect, but you are perfect for me.

#56

Ginny, I love you, because you get the same smile on your face as I get on mine
when we eat a piece of chocolate even better, a slice of chocolate cake.

#57

Ginny, I love you because you have no problem telling me when I get home, "You're
cooking tonight." I'd rather cook for you than see you cooking when you really
don't want to.

It's great that we can both cook and love doing it.

#58

Ginny, I love you for the smile you get when I do the laundry. It shows you appreciate
my work.

#59

Ginny, I love you for draping your leg over my waist and putting your head on
my shoulder to sleep.

#60

Ginny, I love you for always saying, "I love you!" when we part. We never separate
without telling the other we love them. We never know when the last goodbye will
come. Our last words will always be, "I love you!"

#61

Ginny, I love because you cry over the same movies I do. We cry well together.

#62

Ginny, I love you because we love to read the same books and share our thoughts
about them.

#63

Ginny, I love you because you like to play board and card games with me.

#215

A while back, we stopped at the gas station down the road. You went inside. I stayed
in the car. You came out and said, "The girl at the counter said she loved my southern
accent."

"What's not to love?" I smiled

I go to the store all the time. The young lady who said this to Ginny is a girl I
banter with often. She is a sweet young girl with a great sense of humor.

A week later, I went into the store. The young lady was at the counter. "I understand you
like my wife's accent."

Her eyes opened wide. "That's your wife? I love her. I could listen to her talk with her
southern accent all day. She is so nice. I love it that she is your wife. What a great couple
you two make."

Ginny, I love you because you make others smile. This is just one of many times
I have heard someone say this about you.

#216

Ginny, I love you because you make me proud to be your husband.

#217

Ginny, I love you because I can be proud to sit beside you at the pool in our complex.
You are so beautiful.

#218

Ginny, I love you because, together, we make a wonderful team.

#219

Ginny, I love you because when you are away, my heart aches for your touch.

#220

Ginny, I love you because without you, I'd be nothing.

#221

Ginny, I love you because being with you makes a bad day good.

#222

Ginny, I love you because we laugh together at the new calves playing in
the pasture behind our apartments.

#223

Ginny, I love you because you are a safe driver.

Ginny, I love you because just thinking about you makes me smile.

#225

Ginny, I love you because when you are away and we talk on the phone, although
you're not here, it feels like you are right beside me.

#226

Ginny, I love you because you get as excited as a child when it snows.

#227

Ginny, I love you because you inspire me.

#228

Ginny, I love you because, although it is a pain, when you do the laundry, you hang
my polo shirts on a hanger to air dry instead of shrinking them in the dryer.

#229

Ginny, I love you because just the sight of a puppy makes you smile.

#230

Ginny, I love you because you say the silliest things when I wake you from a nap on
the sofa.

# 231

Ginny, I love you because you inspire me to love you.

#232

Ginny, I love you because your beautiful green eyes sparkle when you smile.

#232

Ginny, I love you because, when Ms Priss broke a tooth and was in pain, you
agreed with me to spend the money we needed for other things to make her better.

#233

Ginny, I love you because, you see the same images in the clouds as I do. Our imaginations soar to new heights.

#234

Ginny, I love you because you are a quicker thinker than I am. An example: We're
driving through a neighborhood. You're driving. I'm in the passenger seat with my
window open. There's a sprinkler ahead that is spraying water into the street. You will
always pull to the curb beside the sprinkler and laugh as my face gets soaked.
I would never think of that.
Love is also fun and games together.

#235

Ginny, I love you because even on days when you work and you want a specific
dinner that you don't trust me to cook, you cook it yourself.
I make up for it by cleaning up after. (Maybe you'd rather cook than clean)
Team work again.

#236

our way home from a fun night with friends in Jersey City. We tried to cross the
highway leading into the Holland tunnel. It was gridlock. Cars headed into the tunnel
ignored the lights and filled the intersection. We weaved our way between them.
At the other side we found our lane blocked by cars trying to get into the tunnel.
Behind us, someone in a truck kept their horn blaring. You stuck your upper body out
the window, raised your arms in frustration and yelled in your best southern
accented version of a Brooklyn accent, "Wadda yah want? Wadda wan' us to do?"
It broke a stressful moment.

#296

The Lady Santa ringing the bell for the Salvation Army in the vestibule at
the store where Ginny works was cold.

She came to Ginny the other day and asked, "Do you sell Isotoner gloves?."

Ginny said, "Yes, we do."

The Santa said, "Great, because my hands swell. I'm off on Thursday, and since it is
Senior Citizen's Day, I'll come in and buy a pair on discount. They help with the
swelling in the cold."

She came in on Senor Citizen's Day (12/5/13), picked up the gloves, walked to the
guest service desk with the gloves and said to Ginny, "I just realized, I don't get paid
until Monday."

My Ginny paid for the gloves from her own pocket.

Ginny was Santa to Santa. I have another example of my Santa wife coming up before
Christmas.

These are the best reasons to love my wife.

#297

Ginny, I love you because you put up with me handing you my computer
and headphones saying, "Watch this!"

you just roll your eyes and laugh instead of yelling at me.

#299

Ginny, I love you because, a long time ago, soon after we married, you spilled
a the brown sugar and bourbon sauce for a ham into the oven. You called out for
help. I walked in. You knelt in front of the oven and fearfully said, "When I
basted the ham and tried to put it back in the oven, the ham rolled and tilted
the pan."

"Well, let's clean it up and make more sauce."

We worked together that afternoon and got everything right.

Later you said, "I thought you'd be mad at me?"

I held you tight. "Gin, things happen. The next major kitchen disaster will probably
be mine. I know you won't be mad at me; I know you'll laugh at me and help make
it better, just like everything we'll face in life."

Ginny, I love you because you are thrilled with giving to others.

orchestra with circus acts made for a great date night.

and got on with your day. You are a tough cookie my cookie.

#312

Ginny, I love you because, last night you said, "Mike, I love your Christmas Tree.
I never liked garland on a tree, but the way you do it is special. It looks like
there is snow on it.

"I remember the first time you did your tree. I was amazed."

You touched my heart, Baby.

#313

Ginny, I love you because, one Christmas, you gave $100 to a co-worker of yours,
so she could get her boys Christmas gifts, when her ex-husband decided not to help
her.

We were having a hard time financially, but I agreed with you. We just went with less
that Christmas. You did it anonymously. It was the right decision.
Your co-worker was thrilled.

#314

Ginny, I love you because you enjoy the game I created for you in 2008.

It was Christmas Eve. We couldn't afford to purchase gifts for each other. I
wanted to do something, so I wrote down twelve reasons why I loved you and
hid them all over the house. Each one had a clue to where the next one was hidden
and had a scratch off lotto ticket attached.

You ran all around the house trying to find them. When you did, you hugged me
and said, "I love you. That was fun. You do realize, you have to do this every year
now?"

And I have.

It has since become, "The Twelve Most Memorable Moments of the Year Gone
by".

The twelve most memorable moments of 2013 are waiting for you to find when
you get home from work.

Your first most memorable moment, ticket and clue are under the tree.

.

as our own. It's ours to get something for the other. We share.

#316

Ginny, I love you because you're excited as I am about our trip this evening into the
mountains for the dinner and sleigh ride that we won.

#317

Ginny, I love you because you didn't say a word as I slowly wound down
the mountain in the dark after our sleigh ride and dinner last night.

Not one word when I pulled over and let those more daring whip by us.

Not a peep as I took each darkened 180 degree turn as if there might be a two-headed, fire-breathing dragon waiting on the other side.

You sat quietly as I clutched the wheel and got us down safely.

#318

Ginny, I love you because, on December 5, 2003, I asked if I could call you while we

my passion for chocolate.

on December 28th. You had to work. I was home and made dinner. The next morning you

potatoes were just the way I like them and the gravy was seasoned to perfection. You did
good. It was delicious and just what I needed after a rough day with nasty customers."

#321

Ginny, I love you because there is no one I would rather kiss to bring in the
New Year than you.

He was lonely when he came home from school to an empty house.
Ms. Priss was evil for three years. She hid in my son's room, hissed and swatted at me
when I walked by, but now at the age of 10 to 12 years old (we have no idea), she is my
cat.
We saved her life.
Now, she sits by my feet for hours when I come home. She wants her treats and pets
from her daddy.

#339

Ginny, I love you because, on December 17, 2013, on your day off, you cooked
two meals, knowing we'd both be working all week long.
You didn't want either of us to have to cook on this busy week before Christmas.

The roast I'm eating right now is wonderful.
I can't wait for the pulled pork.
Love you, baby

dinner with our friends Kevin and Vickie.

me to show my love and help you.

you sigh and smile. You're happy to be home, seeing your man waiting for you
and he has dinner ready.

#347

Ginny, I love you because you gave me new binoculars, a great pepper grinder and
potato peeler for Christmas. My old Binoculars were broken and you knew I needed
new ones. You also knew I was jealous of my friend Kevin's potato peeler
and knew I have looked for a good pepper grinder for years.

You got them all for me.

Thank you, Hun.

#348

Ginny, I love you because, even though you were tired and were enjoying a day
off, your work called and asked if you could come in. Knowing we needed the money
because of my Christmas work shut down, you said yes and went to work.

special with your laugher and good spirits.

took great pictures and then created a beautiful watercolor based on one of the
pictures. Your keen eye for beauty and ability to create it make you special.

gift cards, we sure have a nice evening together.

#365

Ginny, I love you because you always love me more.

Happy Valentine's, Sweetie.

This has been an amazing adventure, with an amazing woman.
Thank you for being the person you are, a person who can give me 365 reasons why
I love them.
