Something Old Something New

Something Old Something New

There is a correlation
Between this antique car and me
One of us has been renovated
Which one itís easy to see

The owner of that Buick
Has taken a lot of TLC
To make this antique car
Look as new as can be

New paint job
Motor gone thru
No dents or scratches
Looks brand new

Being old is nothing new
This old car and me
The likeness
Is plain for you to see

I have the same old motor
Same old paint
Same old scratches
Same old dents

If only we could be
Renovated like this old car
Maybe in the future
Maybe not to far-------

So, as I set before this computer screen
Trying to find the proper words
To explain to you
Exactly what I mean

Maybe in the future
A time machine
Where we can be renovated
And start over, neat and clean.
