What People Are Saying
French Fries, French Ties
Clever title Nancy. Can hardly wait to read about your trip to the soldier's cemetery and all your emotions. A few tears trickle when I see our old veterans visiting there on TV. Very nice travelogue.....Kathe
MY FATHER'S HANDS
Wonderful memory piece, Veronica. And as always, I was delighted to see you posting something. Your writing is so descriptive I could almost smell the flowers. Lovely way of tying it in with your dad's comment of so long ago. We don't forget things like that, do we? I visited Monet's garden and home while in France recently, and I had such a feeling of peace and happiness while there. Congrats on your Buffalo in Bloom awards, too.
Love,
Nancy
Time Stood Still
This is one of your best, Richard. Very nicely done.

Yesterday's Musicians
Monte, my husband's family were French-Canadian and they had a similar tradition of kitchen music and house dances.
I made a webpage about it: http://www.squidoo.com/sanford_troubadours
The Happiest Day Of My Life
A very beautiful story - I can just imagine being one of those bus passengers
and standing there waving with you - a special wave to you always wherever "the spot" is - Tracey (NZ)
Happy
Nice to see one of your poems again, April. Especially one with so many positive thoughts. What grade are you starting this year>

Letter To Felicia
Dearest J.W., I so love your Letter to Felicia, your dear granddaughter. The history you share here is valuable and we all enjoy reading your life stories. Please post heaps more when time allows. Love ~ Susan in Georgia
The Heart of a Child
Hi Bobby,
I appreciate your poem. Like a child, it is very refreshing and honest, plus it reminds me of those innocent, youthful days of childhood.
Blessings,
Sandi in FL.
You Can Too
Hi Mike,
How did I miss reading this delightful story before now?! Nancy's suggestion of submitting it to Parents magazine or a similar periodical is such a good idea. The theme of team spirit and believing in oneself is timeless. When children learn this at a young age, it can work wonders as they walk through life...in sports, business, relationships, almost everything.
Your writing gets better every year.
Blessings,
Sandi in fL.
Looking Back
Childhood was the best time in our lives because we had hope and dreams to look forward to.
DECISION

Power of the Sun
Alike you , sometime I used to
glance to the Sun when I was childhood.I love Sun
JoJo
I too picked cotton when I was very young, although it was only one time. I have never forgotten it though, and the feelings one has as a child. Very Good Mark.Renee' Brown
The New Teacher
If I was a new teacher and looked into those bright eyes, I would be scared. This picture I think is great. Notice the torn overall pocket on the boy in front, probably from carrying rocks and frogs. I'm glad you enjoyed it Gail. Monte
WHEN WE WERE GIRLS IN THE SOLDIERS' COTTAGES
Dear Suzanne,
Suzzane, It is wonderful to hear from you. This is one of my most popular stories. When it was in The Buffalo News paper recently, it was picked up by USA today newspaper and a paper in Iraq. Your mother was such a spark and great fun. Keep in touch and give her my love. Vonnie
Mother's aprons
I enjoyed Gail Martin's story as I am searching apron history, pictures, etc. for a talk I am doing for our church's Ladies Day. I wonder if I may relay her story (credit to Ms Martin of course)in my talk.
Our Very Own Earth Angel
The things we learned from Aunt Fannie will be with us forever. She was a most wonderful role model for all who knew her.
